DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:The individual works that are subject to the project are:
• Design, construction and operation of waste treatment facilities consisting of a mechanical sorting unit and a biological treatment unit
• Design, construction and operation of waste disposal facilities consisting of a sanitary landfill for solid residues and a wastewater treatment plant for the liquid residues
• Design, construction and operation of infrastructure works
• Design, construction and operation of the Waste Transfer Station (WTS) in Kantou

The plant consists of two mechanical sorting lines and anaerobic digestion of the organic fraction of waste. It will finally produce recyclable materials (glass, paper, PE/PP. PET, plastics, Fe, Non-Fe), SRF and RDF fuels as well as biogas which will be burnt into 2 CHPs for electricity production.
The maximum capacity of the Mechanical Processing Unit is 168.000 tn/a. of incoming MSW and 20.000 tn/a of pre-sorted recyclables.The annual production of SRF and RDF fuels equals to 64.826 tn/a. The maximum biogas production capacity of the Biological Unit is 8.736.000 m3/a and the maximum production of electricity by 2 CHPs equals to 21.000.000 KWh/a.
The capacity of phase A of sanitary landfill equals to 600.000 m3 and of phase B to 1.200.000 m3. The capacity of the leachate and other wastewater treatment plant equals to 370 m3/d for phase A and 553 m3/d for phase B.
